Trakt in Cinema HQ: Sync Your Watchlist Everywhere

Connect Trakt in Cinema HQ to sync your watchlist, history and progress across phones and TVs.

Link Trakt once

If you are new here, start from the CinemaHQ homepage, then follow this guide. Open settings, find the Trakt or accounts section, and start the link flow. Authorize on another device with your Trakt account, then return to the app. Once linked, your watchlist and viewing history sync in the background, so a show started on the TV is waiting on the phone.

Use the watchlist properly

Save titles to your watchlist instead of searching for them every night. The watchlist becomes your evening shortlist, and Trakt keeps it identical on every device. Mark episodes watched as you go, and the next episode is always the one the app suggests. The subtitle settings guide covers the next step in detail.

If sync looks wrong

Give sync a minute after a session, then pull down or refresh the watchlist. If a device still shows old data, sign out of Trakt on that device and link it again. Local history without Trakt stays on one device only, so link before an update if you want history to survive it. For a related setup, see external player choice.

Quick Answers

Is Trakt free?

Trakt has a free tier that covers watchlist and history sync for most viewers. Paid tiers add extras most viewers never need.

Do I need Trakt to use Cinema HQ?

No. Trakt is optional. Without it, watchlists and history stay on the device where you created them.

Will Trakt save my progress after an update?

Yes, when connected. Your watchlist and progress sync back after an update, which is the main reason to link it.
